The Flying Dutchman, a pirate ship known for its role in the popular movie Pirates of the Caribbean, is a legendary British ghost ship that will roam the seas forever. The sailors who serve that captain, Davy Jones, will eventually be assimilated into a part of the ship and will never be able to escape. They are forever wandering the ocean as part of a ship looking for lost treasure. The model is a 1/12 scale plastic model assembly kit of the sailors who became part of the Flying Dutchman. A scene model kit that represents a part of the deck is a richly atmospheric model of a skeleton sailor operating a ghost ship, the base of a broken mast, a rudder wheel, and a broken cannon. A popular kit that has already been released is now available in a glow-in-the-dark version using phosphorescent resin. Skeletons and other parts are molded with phosphorescent material, so they store light and glow suspiciously in the dark at night, further enhancing the atmosphere. The full-length skeleton that controls the rudder wheel is about 150mm in height. The skeletons are sharply reproduced, including the skull on the skull, as well as the ribs and bones of the limbs.
