1991 KITTY CANTRELL Legends Wildlife Sculpture-BUFFALO-Plains Monarch DIMENSIONS: Overall: 8" tall x 5" deep x 3 3/4" wide. Weight: 8 lbs. DESCRIPTION: Vintage limited edition wildlife sculpture by KITTY CANTRELL. "Plains Monarch". Buffalo bust. "Legends" series. #275 from and edition of 950. Mixed media cast metal on a marble base with felted bottom. All original. Maker's marks: "K. Cantrell - Plains Monarch - Legends - ©1991 - 275/950 - U.S.A." in casting; gold foil label on bottom with an additional number stamp (illegible). No literature or original packaging is included. I recently acquired this sculpture from the original owner. CONDITION: Some very light handling wear: a few scattered miniscule edge rubs to the marble base. See photos. Nothing significant / conspicuous. Presumably the sculpture is secured with a nut on threaded rod underneath the felt. It isn't at all conspicuous when sitting, but when you pick the sculpture up it feels as if the nut isn't absolutely tight (but not so loose that the sculpture turns on its base). Otherwise excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations / repairs / touch ups. No chips, flakes, nicks, breaks, cracks, losses. No scratches, scuffs, bruises. No significant rubs. Very clean as found. No stains or discolorations. No oxidation, corrosion, etc. From a smoke free home. Condition is consistent with infrequent, careful handling.Excellent original condition.
