For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2004 Montegrappa Ferrari Red & Sterling Silver Limited Edition 3 of 1350 fountain pen fitted with an 18K medium nib. This fountain pen is in mint, never-inked condition. It is considered new old stock with all the original boxes and documentation/literature. Ferrari, the most renowned Italian name in sports cars worldwide, and Montegrappa, the oldest Italian manufacturer of fine writing instruments, have teamed up for an extraordinary collaboration. Together, they present a series of exquisite writing instruments that will captivate enthusiasts of both the automotive and pen worlds with their beauty and sophistication. The Ferrari fountain pen is in perfect condition, it has never been inked. The fountain pen is made from red resin and sterling silver. The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel via a twisting movement - as shown in the last image. The Sterling trim is hallmarked with, "925 MADE IN ITALY and the Limited Edition number 0003/1350". The underside of the cap, on the clip, is also marked 925. This fountain pen measures 6" inches capped and 6 5/8" inches posted. The pen weighs 2.10 ounces, which is a very comfortable weight in the hand.. The fountain pen uses ink cartridge filling system. If you are familiar with the Montblanc 147 Traveler's Fountain Pen, this operates just like that with the screw-in cartridge tray, rather than the internal piston fill system. The 18K White Gold nib is designated "MEDIUM" and displays "18, MONTEGRAPPA, M hallmarks" on the nib. The iridium tipping measures .83mm when measuring with digital calipers, which falls into the range of Medium, the nib is designated. This fountain pen has never been inked and I wanted to leave it that way for the next collector. This fountain pen comes in the original Montegrappa for Ferrari factory boxes and Literature/Documentation booklets. These are in Mint condition as well!
