It is the 2281f Honeybee coil with large block tagging. The 25c definitives have shiny gum and are perf. 10 vert. Chuck Ripper designed the colorful coils. The 25c regulars met the first class 1 oz rate from April 3, 1988 until February 3. 1991 . The BEP printed them in revolutionary fashion by combining several printing presses. The colorful background flowers were first printed on the Optiforma offset press and the black bees were added using the intaglio C or D presses . Different printing plates and presses resulted in a multitude of tagging shapes and sizes. Scott catalogue recognizes only 2, which are described as either small block tagging or large block tagging .
