Original 2nd Folio Ben Jonson's Fox And Alchemist Plays 1640, Shakespeare's Contemporary This is part of an original Ben Jonson folio in very good condition pages are crisp and not torn despite being 385 years old. These are two of the most popular plays made by Ben Jonson the Fox and the Alchemist. These were first acted in 1605 and 1610 respectively. This is interesting as Ben Jonson and Shakespeare were not only contemporaries but actively interacted one another. Ben Jonson wrote a eulogy, that then became, the introduction for Shakespeare's first folio in 1623. These plays have been recently rebound with black leather.
