BEAUTIFUL COMPLETE COLLECTION OF US PLATE BLOCKS, 1951 THROUGH 1984. Includes commemoratives, regular issues, airmail, special delivery and penalty mail. All are mint, not hinged, in black mounts. Also includes 38 mixed blocks and plate blocks from 1936 to 1950. Also 11 plate blocks from after 1985. 1951 to 1984 collection starts at C657 and goes thru C2109 including about 690 plate blocks of regular issues and commemoratives. Also 48 airmail, 6 special delivery, 1 certified mail, 4 postage due including $1 and $5 1959 postage due, 6 penalty mail including $1, $5, and D non-denominated. 14 blocks from 1982 - 1985 are not full plate blocks. The USPS began taking advantage of collectors in the 1970s by making a habit of printing stamps that had 20 to a plate block. This became unaffordable to dad for the stamps and the mounts. Be advised there are a few blocks of four that are not plate number blocks scattered through the collection. Seller knows the collection and can answer any questions, these were collected together with my dad. It is possible that a particular block may be missing if dad did not include the album page. Please ask before you buy if you have a question about a particular plate block. MINT NOT HINGED, ORIGINAL GUM to best of my knowledge. Never saw my dad use hinges. Can be shipped with or without the original Minkus brand album binders depending on buyers choice. Please communicate whether you want the original binders or not prior to purchase since it affects the shipping weight somewhat. If you do NOT want the album pages and simply want the stamps alone, please contact seller BEFORE making an offer so that shipping can be adjusted. I am willing to unmount the stamps if that is what the buyer wants. Shipping by two (not one! Won’t fit) USPS priority mail flat rate boxes. eBay only allows me to generate one discounted shipping label so the second box has to ship at USPS regular rate. USPS Ground advantage might be cheaper but let’s do the math first.
