Press and hold the Home button for 10-15 seconds, then release it until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly. Wait for about 60 seconds (to enter pairing mode, the LED indicator is blinking) for the remote control to automatically pair with the device. If the remote control is still not paired successfully when the indicator light turns off, remove and put back the batteries on the remote control, unplug the Amazon device, and then plug it back in. Repeat the pairing steps.   1. The replacement remote came in sealed in a bubble wrapped pouch taped closed tightly. It was sealed in the shipping bag labeled and arrived on time. Upon opening it I noticed a couple small scratches on the battery cover but I put batteries in and it worked flawlessly as per the product description stated. The value of having a proper tv remote allows me to switch between satellite TV and my roku device that I have attached to my tv. Appearance was as promised in the pictures in the description.
