Description
This bronze/metal sculpture was created in 1994 by wildlife artist Dan Parker. This is a beautiful recreation of a buck, his doe and a fawn. Very well done and beautiful display of talent by the artist. I have had this urn/art/sculpture for fifteen years now and have decided to make other arrangements when I pass on some day, Hopefully a long time from now. This little five pound 7 1/2" x 4 1/5" funeral urn is hollow with a base held on by three screws in order to insert a small amount of cremains. Displayed on a shelf I have enjoyed it as a piece of art more than anything else. Being this old and never used of course, it does have some patina in the form of a little extra green here and there because of the nature of the metal. (please look closely at the pictures) I was told this was bronze when I acquired it and basically assumed it was because of haw heavy it is and that a magnet will not stick to it. After having it for such a amount of time the surface has acquired a few small spots of greenish tint like brass tends to do. In other words, I can not guarantee this is solid bronze and not bronze coated zinc or some other nonmagnetic metal. This was sold at the funeral home for about $2500.00 over twenty years ago so I really don't have any idea how much it is worth now. Shipping is free via USPS Priority mail with a tracking number. Any questions at all please feel free to ask. Thank you.
