Hi I'm James Parker and I am offering some fine knives for auction from a Case Knife Collection acquisition out of Austin, Texas. This knife for auction is a 1996 issue Case Special Factory Order Genuine Stag 5 Blade Case Big Nut Peanut, built on the Case Peanut frame, 2 7/8" closed, featuring an incredible pair of Genuine Stag (deer stag) handles and the nickel silver Case-XX Block Letter shield. This Case Genuine Stag 5 Blade Big Nut variation was manufactured exclusively for Shepherd Hills Cutlery in a quantity of only 100 pieces as it has the front side scrolled nickel silver bolsters, is serial numbered, and has the "Big Nut" master Clip blade etch. The factory etch reads "Second the big nut Edition" and the rear side cap end bolster is serial numbered with #041. The standard release was issued in a quantity of 1000 pieces and did not have the scrolled bolsters, wasn't serial numbered, and didn't have the "Big Nut" blade etch. This Case Stag Big Nut features the master Clip, small Spear, Spey and Coping blades, and the seldom seen Case Scissors. This Case Big Nut is stamped on the front tang of the master Clip blade with Case XX USA and 4 Dots, dating this as a 1996 issue Case knife, and is pattern stamped on the rear tang of the small Spear blade with 5520 SS.
