D/A Converter D-2 Ver.2 Features ■ Version 2: A dramatic evolution built on the expertise of the 3 Series. - The analog circuit features the New Type-R fully balanced, non-feedback circuit developed for the E-3, optimized for DAC use. It achieves clarity and dynamics approaching that of the 3 Series. - The external clock terminal uses a new SMA terminal with excellent high-frequency characteristics and a reinforced structure. The adapter plug previously required for connecting the X-3 clock generator is no longer necessary. Using the X-3 dramatically improves the overall sound quality. - In addition, all of the know-how from the 3 Series has been incorporated into the digital circuitry, power supply circuitry, and chassis. The sense of openness and richness of expression have been significantly improved. - The clearance of the free-standing top cover has been increased to enhance the sense of openness. The chassis structure also incorporates know-how from the 3 Series. *The New Type-R circuit is a general term for a fully balanced, non-feedback circuit consisting of a ground-to-ground amplifier and a ground-to-ground emitter follower. ■Product Information - Regarding the Temperature of the Unit SOULNOTE products determine their circuit current with the utmost priority on sound quality and safety. Generally, higher transistor temperatures lead to better performance and sound quality. Therefore, all SOULNOTE products are set to a higher transistor temperature within a safe range. Therefore, while the unit temperature may be higher than that of other products, it is not abnormal. - Regarding the Vibration Dampening of the Chassis SOULNOTE products prioritize sound quality, and as a result, we have deliberately not included vibration damping on the top cover or chassis. - Regarding the Use of Electronic Device Cleaners and Contact Revitalizers with SOULNOTE Products Some commercially available electronic device cleaners and contact revivers may damage the plastic parts of the SOULNOTE AC inlet.
