Description Fender 1954 40th Anniversary Stratocaster 1994 w/ Monty's '54 Stratocaster Pickup Set 1994 is 40 years after the birth of the Fender Stratocaster. The anniversary model "40th Anniversary Stratocaster" has arrived, produced in a limited edition of 1954 worldwide. It is red in color and weighs 3.89 kg. The back of the headstock is marked "1412 of 1954". This model is originally sunburst colored, but it is red, and the joint plate, which should have the serial number of the commemorative model engraved on it, is also a 4-digit serial plate. The date inside the body is marked 54 and the date 1994, so it is likely that the body is original and has been refinished in red and the plate changed. The neck in particular is covered with weather checks, giving it a great look. This classic combination features an ash body, maple neck, and 21-f maple fingerboard, which reproduces the specifications from 1954. The fingerboard surface is also in accordance with vintage specifications, and the 7.25R fingerboard radius and vintage-sized frets reproduce the playing feel of the time, which is a feature of this model. Controls include a master volume, front tone, center tone, and 5-way selector switch. The pickup is originally equipped with the original pickup "'54 Strat Single-Coil", but we have replaced it with "Monty's '54 Stratocaster Parchment". (Please note that the original is not included.) The pots, switches, and capacitors have also been upgraded! They have been changed to CTS, OAK, and Retrovibe Cap F66, respectively. Monty's Guitars, a British company that offers high-quality hand-wound pickups, is a brand that has gained support from many professional guitarists, including Pete Townshend of The Who and Ed O'Brien of Radiohead. The "'54 Stratocaster Parchment" is a single coil that faithfully reproduces the pickups that were installed on the 1954 Strat, and has a thicker, clearer sound while still retaining the nuances of vintage. It has the twang feel of a Telecaster that the Stratocaster of the mid-1950s has, and a bright, punchy, thick mid-to-high range. Like the original, the potting is only partially applied, so there is no wax in the center of the coil, allowing for a more transparent and quick response. You can enjoy clean tones with a vacuum tube amplifier, as well as crunch and overdrive by pushing the volume. This model is suitable for combining with a maple fingerboard Stratocaster to experience the 50s sound.
