Description 1997 Fender American Special ‘90s Tele Thinline/Crimson Red Transparent (used) This model is a rare USA-made Tele Thinline, produced for a short period in the late 1990s. Based on the neck date and serial number, it is confirmed to be a 1997 model. The guitar has been well-played, showing some fret wear, but the frets are still in usable condition, and the sound has become well-rounded and very enjoyable. Considering its age, there are only minor signs of use. The switch knob appears to have been replaced. The striking Crimson Red finish highlights the wood grain, creating an eye-catching and impactful look. The body features a binding and is paired with a shining 69-style Thinline pearl pickguard. The body is made of Ash with an F-hole semi-hollow design and a Rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are American Standard series single-coils. The guitar also features modern specifications such as a slim neck, individual saddles, thicker frets, a 9.5” radius fingerboard, and 22 frets, which provide a comfortable and player-friendly experience. The sound is powerful yet warm and smooth, making it versatile and suitable for various musical settings. Highly recommended for Tele Thinline enthusiasts.
