Compared to the Standard Series, the neck has a slightly rounded modern deep C shape, and the use of narrow-tall frets improves intonation and sound response. The newly designed V-MOD pickups have a hot output that can be used for modern sound creation while maintaining the warm and crisp tone unique to vintage guitars. The 22-fret specification (9.5-inch radius fingerboard that is less likely to choke) has a semitone wider range than traditional Fender guitars, and the back of the neck is painted with a satin finish that allows for smooth position changes.
