Description

Description Fender Japan ST72-86 DSC from the FujiGen Era (1994-1995) This Stratocaster model, made during the highly regarded FujiGen era of Fender Japan, was produced between 1994 and 1995 according to its serial number. It is a sought-after model, often associated with the iconic Yngwie Malmsteen style. Key Features: The guitar is equipped with DiMarzio HS-3 pickups on both the front and rear, offering exceptional clarity and high output. The HS-3 pickups maintain the snappy attack of single-coils, while providing tight distortion even in high-gain settings. A rare model with a scalloped fretboard for added playability and comfort. Condition: The guitar shows signs of use, including noticeable fret wear and some marks on the fretboard, which is reflected in the price. However, it has been fully serviced and is in excellent playing condition. Maintenance Performed: Complete cleaning of the guitar. Cleaning and maintenance of frets and fretboard. Cleaning and tightening of the electronic components (switches, pots, and jack). Full setup, including string height, truss rod adjustment, octave check, pickup height adjustment, and tremolo fine-tuning. Current Setup: The neck has a slight backward bow, very close to straight, and the action is set as follows: 1.7mm on the low E string and 1.6mm on the high E string at the 12th fret. The truss rod still has room for further adjustment. The frets are original, but they have been leveled a few times, leaving about 40-50% of the original fret height. The electronics have been cleaned and inspected, and there are no issues such as crackling or other malfunctions. The 5-way selector switch has been replaced due to a fault in the original selector. The string guides for the 3rd and 4th strings have been removed, and the setup reflects this change. There is a noticeable dent on the first fret near the high E string. The tremolo arm and backplate are missing.
