The neck and fingerboard maple are in excellent condition and the playability is superb. The sound is a hard, sharp tone, characteristic of the early 70s spec, which is different from the 50s model. The combination of natural finish and white 3-ply pickguard is incredibly cool. The appearance has some signs of use, but there is no noticeable damage and it is in excellent condition for a used guitar. It has been checked for functionality and the electronics are in good working order. As it is a single coil, there is some characteristic hum noise. It is within a range that does not interfere with playing, but please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to noise. The neck and string height have been adjusted and the strings have been replaced. It is in player condition and ready to play.
