Description 1987 model Following the "JV serial" and "SQ serial (Squier)", we have a Telecaster with an "E serial", which is proof of the early days of Fender Japan! While the main lineup was the 52 and 62 models, this is a rare Telecaster that follows the 72 model. Both the neck and body are stamped with the "CTM-50" Squier model, which was one of the earliest models when Fender Japan was launched, so it is assumed that the body and neck are manufactured even earlier. At the time, Fender Japan was started as a way to "eliminate copy models" and "make a cheap model of the original Fender", but it is well known that Fujigen's superb assembly and the skills of the craftsmen have resulted in a very high quality guitar. It is no wonder that it is especially popular overseas among Japanese vintages. Please try out this vintage Fender Japan, which is now said to be a "legend"! There are scratches and dents all over the guitar, signs of use, and dullness/rust on the metal parts. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room to adjust both the forward and backward bows. The neck bow has been adjusted with the rod, and is in almost good condition. There is a slight amount of wear on the frets, but there is still enough left and it does not interfere with playing.
