Description Ken, the guitarist of L'Arc ～ en ～ Ciel, has been a long-time user of Fender Stratocasters. Over the years, he has released several signature models, and this time, to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary, a new Japanese-made signature model has been created with an "experiment" theme, incorporating various original features. The combination of the original white body with a matching headstock and gold hardware was designed with the concept of "kintsugi," the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold, creating a beautiful and unique aesthetic. The minimal cut of the elbow contour is painted gold, and the attention to detail extends to the acrylic pickguard and control panel, where even the pickup, control, and spring cavities are all painted gold. This is a truly unique instrument. The thick neck, profiled from Ken's actual guitar, and the high-rigidity body, which intentionally omits a back contour, allow for the deep, rich sound Ken was seeking. The bridge uses the Pure Vintage Gold, which is not available individually, and is designed to closely match the tone of his actual guitar. The pickups are directly mounted to the body for better vibration pickup. The combination of the "V-Mod II" and "Fat 50s" pickups creates the ideal sound that cannot be achieved with standard pickups alone. The model also includes key features that have become essential for Ken's recent signature models, such as the front and rear pickup blender, locking tuners, and the 6-Saddle Pure Vintage Synchronized Tremolo, all encapsulating Ken's specific preferences.
