ELGIN POCKET WATCH CONVERSION PROJECT REPORT: THIS WRIST WATCH CONVERSION CASE IS PROBABLY THE FINEST I'VE EVER SEEN. THE ENGINEERING IS SPECTACULAR THE GENTLEMAN WHO BUILT THIS CASE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING, IT'S GORGEOUS. JUST ADJUSTED STEM HEIGHT SETS AND WINDs AS IT SHOULD. SUGGEST YOU USE A PIN VISE TO WIND THE WATCH THE CROWN IS SMALL IF YOU'VE GOT BIG FINGERS IT'S DIFFICULT TO GRIP THE SMALL CROWN TO TURN. IT'S BETTER TO GET A CORRECT PIN VISE AND JUST TURN IT WITH THE PIN VISE IT'S MUCH EASIER AND IS SO MUCH MORE EFFICIENT. THE FRONT AND BACK CRYSTALS TURN EASILY TO FASTEN TO THE CASE NO CROSS THREADING WHATSOEVER AS LONG AS YOU'RE VERY PATIENT. EXAMPLE: NEED TO GET TO LEVER, JUST BE PATIENT ITS VERY EASY WHEN WATCH IS LEVEL, AND TURNING THE COVER VERY SLOWLY. MAKES THINGS MUCH EASIER. TURNING THE FRONT OR THE BACK CRYSTAL IS SAME PROCEDURE. YOU CAN INTERCHANGE THOSE TWO COVERS IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT LOOK. I'M JUST REALLY HAPPY HOW THIS WATCH TURNED OUT IT'S BEEN A LOT OF FUN. OH AND YES,FOR ALL YOU WRISTWATCH AFICIONADOS OUT THERE I AM WEARING THE WATCH TOO HIGH ON THE WRIST 🤣🤣. This is a beautiful Elgin grade 391 model 15 Rail Road "Class A" wrist watch conversion that runs excellent. The BW Raymond grade 391 was made basically to run forever, it's been in storage 5 years it just came out recently it was serviced before it went into storage. It winds and sets, keeps accurate time.It's a lever set five position 16s 21 jewel watch. I put a stainless steel watch band on it it feels heavy on the wrist but it sure looks good.
