Harris Tweed Men’s Overcoat 48R Classic Vintage Scottish Wool Coat VGC Authentic Harris Tweed Authority men’s overcoat made from wool dyed, spun and woven in in the Outer Hebrides Isles on the western shores of Scotland. ( I’ve been to the Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris several times and actually lived on the isle for 6 months in 2018.) This timeless coat is in very good condition. I’m guessing this coat was made is somewhere in the 1950’s-1960’s. It has 2 labels, the Harris Tweed label and the Union label. This is a grayish color with specks of white intertwined with black. Very deep pockets and one lined breast pocket with the Union Label sewn inside. It is displayed on a small female mannequin. No damage, holes, stains, tears and no funky smells. There were 2 very minor mends that I did myself. One was adding more thread to the top button hole and the other was a small amount of thread that was loosening 2 seams in the lining near one of the pockets. The mendings are not really noticable. This classic men’s coat weighs about 4lbs without the box. Please see all photos and ask for more if needed. Measurements are approx but taken carefully.
