Its smooth rounded surface eliminates most of the reflected sound waves that would interfere with the direct sound waves coming from the tweeters. The end result is a better dispersion pattern, less distortion, and clear high-frequency reproduction. Cone Woofers: The woofer cones are textured Polypropylene with rubber surrounds. Polypropylene woofers are resistant to moisture and temperature extremes found in automotive applications. Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" PEI balanced dome tweeter. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter. Flat Super-Tweeters: The speaker also utilizes a 1/2" ceramic, flat super-tweeter for added high frequency reproduction.
