I recently had someone question the authenticity of my little LV coin purse. It was purchased in ~ 1989/1990, so there is no longer any receipt, or box, or bag. What i can tell you is this, I was 18 or 19 (I'm now 53) and i had just had to have my cat put to sleep. Naturally, I was very sad about this. My mom and dad were with me and we decided to take the rest of the day to go window shopping on North Michigan Ave in Chicago. (We lived in the suburbs) As we were shopping we came upon the Louis Vuitton store and we went in. I saw the coin purse under the glass and begged my dad to buy it for me... after all, I just watched my beloved cat die in my arms, surely the bauble would make me feel better? He bought it for me. It was $90.00 before tax. That's my authentication story.
