Played by a professional. Horn recently gone through, changed some pads, new cork for the neck, fix leaks and it plays marvelous! Will need to overhaul in the future as some of the pads are aging. This horn has been around the world a few times at least. The serial # is 171031. My dad did some sessions in L.A before working for 30 plus years in Hawaii. He played with Etta James, Little Richard, Louis Jordan, Miles Grayson played keyboards for him and Al Wilson was his drummer before Show N Tell went to No.1. He knew Hank Crawford, Eric Dolphy, Monk, Miles,Charles Wright, Dexter Gordon, Hugh Masekala, Roy Brooks who played with him in high school and to many to mention. Stanley He last played with Phillip Walker. Screaming Jay Hawkins used to visit us in Hawaii as did Buddy Miles, Stanley Morgan came by the house often of the Ink Spots and father of Frank Morgan. H.B Barnum was his manager and one day I came home as a youth and Sarah Vaughan was in the living room. I was much to shy to enjoy her. Mouth piece not included. My dad was a modest man he never said who he knew or who he worked with unless you asked. People would come by or call the house like when I took him to see Fathead Newman and he said he was his friend. I sent a note by security to him and he came out and he and my dad started talking about various people and places including Hank Crawford and his stroke. We were driving with family in a station wagon and we saw a big Markee' with Johnnie Taylor performing. My dad said I did some work with him. My aunts got excited and wanted to meet him. My dad wasn't too hot on the idea...but we stopped and my aunts said to security tell Johnnie Bobbie Lester is here. The concert had just finished. The security came back and said only he could come back to the dressing room. We waited a couple of hours before his return. Just so many people I have met or talked to because of Bobbie Lester.
