I'm sorry, but I can't remove the neck to check (those familiar with Fender necks will understand). The color is hard to see in the photos, but it's a common reddish sunburst. It's been difficult to capture the true color due to lighting, but it has a solid color as it's a poly finish and hasn't faded. There is some fret wear near the lower frets, but it's not at a level that affects pitch. There is no unusual dirt or fatal damage, but it has been in use for over 10 years, so it does show signs of wear. The serial number has been concealed for the sake of the next owner. This is a Strat from the "Made in Japan" period, where all manufacturing was done in Japan, not the "Crafted in Japan" period, where only assembly was done in Japan. There is no back panel. The neck has a slight back bow, the electronics are in good working order, and the playing condition is good.
