This is a small plastic bank, made in 1964. It is shaped like a gopher emerging from a mound. The underside is marked: "GO GOPHERS 1964 CITIZENS BANK." In small print, it is marked: "Copyright Royalty Designs Of Florida, Inc. 1964." I assume this gopher is a school's mascot, but there are a few different high schools & colleges that have the gopher as a mascot. This might be from Grand Prairie High School, here in Texas OR the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis OR Goucher College, in Baltimore OR somewhere else. (Gresham, Glen Burnie, Hueytown?) The bank is VERY small and measures 3 & 1/2 inches tall. The base is 2 & 3/8 inches long, and 1 & 3/4 inches wide. The condition is GOOD. The plastic has hardened a bit with age, but it is otherwise very nice. It is guaranteed to be old & original - made about 55 years ago - or your money back.
