Description This is a 1978 Mustang with features such as a head serial number, black pickguard, and ash body. In the style of the Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic, this unique Fender guitar is equipped with a unique dynamic vibrato unit and two pickup switches, allowing it to produce a light arm action and an "out-of-phase" sound. The heavy ash wood and urethane finish give it a harder, more solid tone than the '60s models. This Mustang is perfect for those who like crisp cutting and a drive sound with a strong rock feel. The body has a natural finish that makes use of the ash wood grain, and appears to have been painted white once, which has since been peeled off and polished. The pickguard has been replaced with a newer replacement part. It has been installed so as not to spoil the original look. The nut and frets have been replaced, with about 80% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition. The volume and tone knobs are unique and are made from parts for Stratocasters found on Fender guitars from the late '70s. This guitar has been maintained as carefully as possible.
